Two Cases of Ciant Cell Tumor of Upper Humerus treated with Fibular Graft

Abstract
Giant cell tumor of bone is considered as a potencially malignant tumor which is predilected at the epiphysis of the long bone in young adult.
The treatment of choise in this tumor is thorough curetting with filling of defect with chip graft or blok encision.
Not rarely, depending on the region involved and destruction manifested, partial or total amputation is inevitable.
Recently we experienced two cases of huge giant cell tumor of bone which involved head and upper portion of humerus with total desouction of cortex which were treated ty removal of upper half of humerus and its substitution with subtotal fibular graft which alternative would mean either flail shoulder from simple excision of affected portion of humerus or amputation of arm.
Six months follow up shows fairlry good functional restoration of the affected upper extremity
and fair cosmetic apperance. The grafted fibular bone have well survived with normal texture of cortex and trabeculation except some atrophy and there is no sign of any local recurrence of tumor. The patient returned to their daily life without much inconvenience.
